Some Inspiration For The New Year, 2016 & Beyond!

Wishing you and amazing 2016 filled with an abundance of love, joy and all your dreams come true!

Self-love is one of the best ways we can express gratitude and embody the essence and feeling of being grateful.  What better way is there to vibrate the frequency to the Universe that you have appreciation for your self and your life?  The journey of loving yourself and practicing daily self-care speaks a thousand words about just how grateful you are.  It is a very powerful and transformative practice that will change your life in ways you never thought possible.

No matter when you discover this post, whether it is the beginning of 2016 or  months from now, it is always the perfect time to begin taking care of YOU and learn how to fall in love with yourself, either all over again or for the first time.  That is the beauty of this gift of life that we are given every moment and everyday; an opportunity for a fresh start and new beginnings.

“Comes The Dawn”

After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a Soul,
And you learn that Love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t mean security,

Delicious Smoothie Recipies To Keep You Healthy During Autumn and Winter…Or Any Time Really :)

Autumn Leaves     Autumn is one of my favorite seasons!   There is so much to love.  The cool crisp days, harvest time, the beautiful leaves changing colors,  getting cozy by the woodstove,  family and friends gathering together for the different festivities.  It gives me a warm feeling just thinking about it. 

Winter follows with it’s own lovely qualities as well.   For those who live in the Northern Hemisphere, this includes the wonderful diversity of the holidays and ringing in the New Year.  Depending on where you live in the world, it can be more or less  a challenging time of year due to extreme weather.  Yet, it’s a wonderful time to nest, go within, be reflective and creative while getting inspired for Spring.

In honor of this wonderful time of year, I am excited to share some yummy smoothie recipes that were  created specially to bring out the best of Autumn and Winter.  Most importantly, not only do they taste delicious,  they will help support your immune system and keep you energized well into Spring.

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie                                                                                                          

1 cup non-dairy milk
1/2 banana, frozen
(must be frozen)
1 large apple, cored and chopped
2 pitted dates
1 tablespoons raw pumpkin seeds
Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth.
Garnish with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice if desired.
Savor and Enjoy!

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

 

Apple Spice Smoothie

1 cup non-dairy milk
1/2 banana, frozen
(must be frozen)
1 large apple, cored and chopped
2 pitted dates
1 tablespoons raw pumpkin seeds
Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth.
Feel free to garnish with chopped apples and/or cinnamon.
Savor and enjoy!

Apple Spice Smoothie

 

Cranberry Bliss Smoothie
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
( I prefer frozen for a better consistency.  You can put your fresh cranberries in the freezer the night before.)
3/4 cup alternative milk
½ cup vanilla soy or coconut yogurt
1 tsp. raw honey or stevia
Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth.
Savor and Enjoy!

The Happiness Journey

Happiness is the most important emotion we all strive to  experience.  No matter what , happiness is the root of what we all want from life.  The underlying factor in all of our motives is to feel good and content, which results in…feeling happy.

There are so many cliche sayings and quotes out there about happiness, yet there is a deep truth to it all, and a reason why it is a topic so greatly discussed.

 In our own personal search for money, success, and love, the source of this desire is to achieve a feeling of contentment and joy.  Many people don’t even realize why they are so hungry for these outside, material objects and/or people to satisfy this longing and desire.

 We believe these things, people, accomplishments etc., that we seek will bring us satisfaction and happiness.  But , simply put, ultimately we just want to feel good, and think that once we get what we are seeking it will  satisfy our craving…right?!   But what if we could be happy NOW?  What if we could be happy, content and full of life before you even got what you are searching for?   Well, I am here to share with you that this is %100 possible and I can’t wait to show you how!  Not only will you find happiness in every moment, you will discover that this practice will bring all of your desires to you faster than you can imagine.

Happiness allows positive energy to flow through you and brings what you want into your life with ease.  Our struggle and resistance to “what is” in the moment and not being satisfied with what is right in front of you, actually creates energetic blocks, preventing a change in your circumstances.
