Self-love is one of the best ways we can express gratitude and embody the essence and feeling of being grateful. What better way is there to vibrate the frequency to the Universe that you have appreciation for your self and your life? The journey of loving yourself and practicing daily self-care speaks a thousand words about just how grateful you are. It is a very powerful and transformative practice that will change your life in ways you never thought possible.
No matter when you discover this post, whether it is the beginning of 2016 or months from now, it is always the perfect time to begin taking care of YOU and learn how to fall in love with yourself, either all over again or for the first time. That is the beauty of this gift of life that we are given every moment and everyday; an opportunity for a fresh start and new beginnings.
I was inspired to share this lovely and potent poem that was shared with me today. It resonated deeply with me, and I hope it will with you too. A perfect theme and message to start off the New Year! It was shared to me by one of the founders of Soul Women Circles, which is a group of amazing and inspiring women. You can find out more about them if you would like http://soulwomancircles.com/
Wishing you all an amazing year ahead filled with Love, joy, abundance and all your dreams come true!
Love, Blessings and Aloha always,
“Comes The Dawn”
After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a Soul,
And you learn that Love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts
And presents aren’t promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open
With the Grace of a woman, not the grief of a child,
And you learn to build all your roads on today,
Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans,
And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn
That even sunshine burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate your own Soul,
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure…
That you really are strong,
And you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn…
With every goodbye you learn.
